Armadura Del Durmiente is the project led by Esteban Alcalde, composer and lyricist formerly known as Vacío Perfecto in his most industrial and noise phase. Esteban has had the collaboration of the instrumentalist Miguel Molins, as well as the female voices of Ruth G. Núñez de Arenas (Mann of Seasons) and Cela Ortega (Reserva Espiritual de Occidente) for his first album, “Por La Belleza Del Acto”, an LP released on vinyl by this house as a record label, the first of this new adventure for Mots Music.
“Por La Belleza Del Acto” is a precious dark folk and industrial record with pop touches in some of the tracks, an album that gathers strong and passionate songs about the human condition, loss, nature and the passage of time. An ode in the form of an LP that calls for action in the fight against mediocrity, and this is reflected in its lyrics and in its excellent sonic journey, an album that not only tells a story but lives it, making the listener a participant in all the emotions it reflects and that expand until they conquer them.
Armadura Del Durmiente, an independent project that champions the use of Spanish in this sonic gem, takes care of every detail in this first work, with the illustrator León Volta, and Molins himself in charge of the impeccable mastering of the 10 tracks that make up “Por La Belleza Del Acto”.
Esteban’s regal, deep voice fills everything in “Venatore”, “Los Años Pasados”, “Non Cultro”, “Männerbund” and “In Finem”, and blends perfectly with that of Ruth G. on the warm “Lumbrada”, one of the tracks that could well be the single of this beautiful record. The Madrid-born artist based in Berlin stars in the epic “Sangre Dorada” y “Elegion”, as well as in “Torrentera”, a song that gently embraces death as a “sister and companion” of this journey called life. And picking up this message of existential brevity we discover “Pleno Día”, a track masterfully and magically performed by Cela Ortega.
“Por La Belleza Del Acto” is, in short, an album to savor, to immerse yourself in, to look inward and to lead us to reflection in times when immediacy and ease have prevailed over the art of knowing how to listen. An LP that not only tells a story but also creates it.
