VL4NC is the project of Fernando Larlz, a multi-instrumentalist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, who explores the margins of dark wave, cold wave, post-punk, dark folk, industrial and dark electronics, with subtle echoes of 1980s pop. Influenced by the emotional intensity of bands such as The Cure, the ritual darkness of Coil and the aesthetic rawness of Death in June, his sound seeps in like a crack: insistent, inevitable and deep.
In late March 2026, VL4NC releases his first album, Industria del Luto, a work of 10 pieces in which repetition, loss and a certain uncomfortable beauty coexist in constant tension. Through dense layers of sound, industrial textures and minimalist structures, the album builds an emotional landscape that swings between the intimate and the abrasive.

Listening to the album is conceived as a complete experience. Industria del Luto reveals its nuances along the way: “Zona liminar”, the track that opens the album, offers a melancholic pulse with pop tinges, crossed by a post-punk and dark wave sensibility. The same line can also be felt in “Elástico”, reinforcing that balance between melody and darkness.
In contrast, tracks such as “Tribofobia” and “Confesión sintética” delve into a darker, more direct character, with a strong post-punk and dark wave imprint. On the other hand, pieces such as “Alguien Alien”, “Delirium Tremens” and “Was ist Das” move toward industrial and sonic experimentation, expanding the limits of the project. Finally, songs such as “Polvareda” introduce a more organic, dark folk texture, adding a strongly introspective character to the album.
Industria del Luto is not just a debut, but an aesthetic statement: an exploration of darkness not as a pose, but as a language. Each track is a fragment of a universe where the mechanical and the organic converse in a narrative shaped by memory, wear and transformation.
